Transmission Field Tester
Description:
This position is responsible for the
configuring, turn up, testing and final system acceptance of
transmission systems for major telecommunications carriers.
Required Qualifications:
Individuals must have specific training and experience testing and
configuring optical carrier equipment (fiber optics) manufactured by
Nortel and Alcatel operating at SONET, OC-48 and OC-192 rates.
Additionally, experience with Alcatel 3/3 and 3/1 digital cross
connects and other ancillary equipment is desired. Candidates should
be familiar with all applicable testing procedures, test equipment,
setup and appropriate parameters. Good team work and oral/written
documentation skills are a must.
