SUMMARY
Perform splicing, inspecting,
maintaining, overhauling, repairing and installing splice cases for
telephone, coaxial, fiber optic and outside plant cable.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Locate and diagnose signal
transmission defects using various test equipment and visual
inspection
Use cable splicing and linemans
tools and related test equipment, ground power equipment, and
pressure equipment.
Identify house cables and splice
locations, identify and reroute telecommunications cabling,
including conventional fiber, copper, and air blown fiber (ABF).
Tag, spray and relocate
communications cables.
Support includes: performing line
verifications, developing and maintaining a database of customer
lines and cable pairs.
Installing and maintaining fiber
optic cabling.
