President
and COO
Faye brings an
assorted background to The Wilkins Group, Inc. (WGI) in sales, public
relations, and business principles and administration. Upon earning
her real estate broker’s license in 1980, Faye began her own company.
For 15 years she managed all facets of the real estate company—human
resources, marketing, accounting, and operations. As a powerful
negotiator, quick thinker, and accurate industry forecaster, Faye
earned several real estate awards and honors. With her sharp business
savvy she achieved multi-million dollar sales.
Since joining WGI in
1992, Faye has exhibited extraordinary entrepreneurial spirit. She
organizes, manages, and assumes several responsibilities at
WGI—trade-show publicity, media relations, corporate communications,
customer relationships, recruiting employees, accounting, human
resource activities, and strategic business planning. Multitasked,
thorough, articulate, and efficient are words that define Faye at all
times. On a good day, she’s able to attend an executive, manager, and
staff meeting, negotiate a final bid, sign payroll checks, have lunch
with a significant customer, and still play a 18-hole game of golf. On
a bad day, well. . . Faye has no bad days. Her time at work is fun,
fast-paced, fresh, and functional. Faye works hard to keep WGI focused
on its vision, mission, and strategic business goals.
Faye also has extensive experience promoting special events such as
Byron Nelson Golf Classic and volunteering with non-profit and
community organizations such as
The Boys and Girls Club
of Collin County and
Plano
Rotary Club. In 1999, Dallas Mayor, Ron Kirk appointed Faye Dallas
Area Rapid Transit (DART)
Board, and Mayor Kirk extended her appointment for another two years
in 2001. Her other affiliations include the National Association of
Women Business Owners (NAWBO),
National Association of Female Executives (NAFE),
Business & Professional Women of North Texas, Texas Society of
Building Industry Consulting Services, Inc., and
Women in Cable and
Telecommunications.
